Sandra FloresCommunity Leader
Sandra Flores comes to Teen Success, Inc. with a long history of working with families to strengthen their communities and advance their education, health, and economic security. She is driven by her belief that those most directly impacted by inequity are critical voices in developing the best solutions. Her commitment to serving her community led her to serve as Director of the Fresno County Preterm Birth Initiative, partnering with University of California, San Francisco to reduce the number of babies born prematurely. Most recently, Sandra worked on the 2020 census to ensure communities that had historically been undercounted were included in this census. Sandra is a proud board member of the Women’s Foundation California where she represents the interests of historically underserved communities in California. Sandra became a mother at age 17 and went on to earn her AA at Fresno City College and her BA in History from Oklahoma City University. She and her husband Peter have been married 34-years and have three children and six grandchildren. Having been a young mother, she recognizes the potential of young families and is passionate about her work with Teen Success. Sandra is excited to support the families, staff, and the entire Teen Success, Inc. community to advance our mission. |
