Raquel DonosoSenior Program Officer, Pacific Foundation Services
Raquel is a strategic and dynamic leader with broad experience in nonprofit management, philanthropy, politics and public policy. She most recently was the Director of the Mission Promise Neighborhood, a $30M Department of Education initiative to develop a cradle-to-college pipeline for students in San Francisco's Mission District. Prior to that she was the Chief Executive Officer of the Latino Community Foundation where she led the organization through its largest growth period, investing over $3M in early education, teen pregnancy prevention and technology. Raquel began her career in public policy where she was the associate director of a statewide advocacy organization that worked on education, environmental, health, technology, and civic engagement issues. In addition to her work experience Raquel volunteers her time and has served on several boards over the years including the RYSE Center in Richmond, Greenbelt Alliance, Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, IGNITE California, East Bay Regional Parks Foundation, and Access-Women's Health Rights Organization. She is also co-founder of the California Latina's for Reproductive Justice and numerous coalitions such as the Having Our Say healthcare coalition. |
