Thanks to the generosity of the Reis Foundation, Teen Success, Inc. launched an annual scholarship program for teen mothers graduating from the Teen Success, Inc. program. The purpose of the Teen Success, Inc. Scholarship Program is to honor and support our hardworking program members who are pursuing post-secondary education.

The competitive scholarship program requires a member to submit an essay and recommendation from a community member or Advocate. If chosen as a recipient, the member must show continuous enrollment in a trade school, community college, or 4-year college and continue to maintain their family size to better focus on their studies.

This past spring Trayvania from Antioch and Karla from Redwood City were chosen as the first ever Teen Success, Inc. scholarship recipients. These amazing young mothers committed to pursuing their educational goals and making bright futures for themselves and their children. Each will receive $4,000 over the course of the next 2 years.

Trayvania and Karla were honored at a small luncheon in August. During their speeches, both members spoke about how important support and encouragement from Teen Success, Inc. has been to them.
"I love that I've learned a lot from the beginning to now about myself and my son. I don't know where we'd be without Teen Success. We seem like a big family."
-Trayvania, 2013 Scholarship Recipient
Teen Success, Inc. thanks the Reis Foundation for the opportunity to begin this amazing endeavor to support our members beyond high school. We thank everyone who attended the luncehon and supports Teen Success, Inc. Together we are empowering teen mothers and transforming lives!
