Honorable Teresa Guerrero-Daley
Superior Court Judge, Santa Clara County
Teresa Guerrero-Daley has a proven record of dedication to public service. She has served as a Superior Court Judge for the State of California since she was elected on March 2, 2004. She was the first Latina elected to the Superior Court in Santa Clara County.
Currently, she presides over the Family Violence Unit. Prior to becoming a judge, she served as an executive officer for the City of San Jose. She was appointed by the Mayor and City Council as the first Independent Police Auditor where she was responsible for providing public policy in the area of public safety. She earned international recognition for developing policing guidelines that improved effectiveness and accountability in law enforcement.
Judge Guerrero-Daley was also the first female Special Agent for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in the South Bay. Judge Guerrero-Daley has a proven record of dedication to public service; she regularly volunteers her time and has served on several boards over the years including the Hispanic Foundation Silicon Valley, YWCA of Silicon Valley, Puente Program, Role Model Program, and was a fellow with the American Leadership Forum. She has won many awards for her commitment to public service including, "Woman of Achievement," “Portraits of Success,” “Breaking the Glass Ceiling,” “Unsung Hero Award” and “100 Most Influential Latinos.”
